SMS Terms of Service — Dear Dad's Restaurant
Last updated: July 16, 2026
Dear Dad's Restaurant's phone line is answered by Holina, an AI phone-answering service operated by EpochCore LLC. When a caller asks to be texted something during a phone call, Holina sends that text message on the restaurant's behalf. These terms describe that text messaging service.
The service
This is a customer care and transactional messaging service. It works like this:
- You phone Dear Dad's Restaurant and the Holina AI receptionist answers.
- During that live call, you ask to be texted a specific link or piece of information.
- One text message is sent to you with what you asked for — for example a reservation link, ordering link, directions, the menu, catering information, a careers or jobs link, the website, a rewards signup link, or a social media link.
- The message goes only to the phone number you called from.
This is not a marketing program. You will not receive promotional offers, advertisements, or recurring messages.
Consent — verbal opt-in during your call
Consent to receive a text message is collected verbally, from you, during the inbound phone call that you placed. A message is sent only if you ask for one on that call.
To be explicit about what this service does not do:
- There is no web form opt-in for this messaging.
- There is no keyword campaign — you do not text in to join anything.
- No purchased lists and no third-party lead lists are used, ever.
- Numbers are never added from any source other than the call you personally placed.
Consent is not a condition of purchase
Your consent to receive text messages is not a condition of any purchase. You can decline to be texted and still place an order, make a reservation, and receive the same service over the phone. If you would rather not be texted, just say so — the information can be given to you verbally on the call instead.
Message frequency
Messages are sent only when you request one during a phone call. There is no subscription and nothing recurring. Typically this means a single message per request. Message frequency varies by user interaction.
Message and data rates
Message and data rates may apply. Any such charges come from your mobile carrier, not from Dear Dad's Restaurant or EpochCore LLC. Check your mobile plan for details.
How to stop messages
You can opt out at any time by replying with any of these keywords to a message you received:
STOP, STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, or QUIT.
You will receive one confirmation message, and then no further texts:
Opting out of texts does not affect your ability to call the restaurant. If you later want a link texted to you again, simply ask during a future call.

Supported carriers and delivery
Message delivery depends on your mobile carrier and is not guaranteed. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery may be affected by network coverage, device settings, or carrier filtering.
Your responsibilities
- Only ask for messages to be sent to a phone number you own or are authorized to use.
- Let us know if your number changes or is reassigned, so messages are not sent to someone else.
Privacy
Your phone number and your consent are never shared, sold, or rented to third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. See the SMS Privacy Policy for full details.
