SMS Privacy Policy — Dear Dad's Restaurant
Last updated: July 16, 2026
Dear Dad's Restaurant's phone line is answered by Holina, an AI phone-answering service operated by EpochCore LLC. When a caller asks to be texted something during a phone call, Holina sends that text message on the restaurant's behalf. That is why this policy is published here.
This policy explains how phone numbers and related information are handled in connection with that text messaging service.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Mobile opt-in data and consent are never shared, sold, or rented to any third party or affiliate for their marketing or promotional purposes.
Scope of this policy
This policy covers the text messaging (SMS) program described below. Handling of the phone call itself is governed separately by Dear Dad's Restaurant's call-handling practices and is not described here.
How the text messaging service works
- A caller phones Dear Dad's Restaurant and the Holina AI receptionist answers.
- During that live call, the caller may ask to be texted a specific link or piece of information.
- If they ask, one text message is sent containing what they requested — for example a reservation link, ordering link, directions, the menu, catering information, a careers or jobs link, the website, a rewards signup link, or a social media link.
- The message is sent only to the phone number that placed the call.
These messages are customer care and transactional messages only. They are not marketing messages.
Information collected
- Your mobile phone number, taken from the caller ID of the call you placed.
- What you asked for — the specific link or information you requested during the call, so the correct message can be sent.
- A record of your consent — a note that you verbally asked to be texted during the call, along with the date and time.
- Delivery and opt-out status — whether the message was delivered, and whether you have replied with an opt-out keyword.
How that information is used
The information above is used only to:
- Send you the single message you asked for during your call.
- Respond to HELP requests.
- Honor STOP and other opt-out requests, and keep an opt-out on file so you are not texted again.
- Keep records needed for compliance with messaging regulations and carrier requirements.
Your phone number is not used to send marketing or promotional messages, and it is not added to any marketing list.
Sharing of information
Mobile phone numbers and SMS consent are not shared, sold, or rented to third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. No exceptions.
The only sharing that occurs is operational and limited to what is necessary to deliver your message:
- Messaging providers and carriers. Your phone number is passed to the messaging service provider and the mobile carriers that transmit the message to your handset. They act as service providers and are not permitted to use your number for their own marketing.
- Dear Dad's Restaurant. As the business you called, the restaurant may see that you called and what you requested.
- Legal requirements. Information may be disclosed if required by law, legal process, or to enforce these terms.
Message frequency
Messages are sent only when you request one during a phone call. There is no recurring or scheduled messaging program, and no subscription. Typically this means a single message per request. Message frequency varies by user interaction.
Message and data rates
Message and data rates may apply. These are charges from your mobile carrier, not from Dear Dad's Restaurant or EpochCore LLC. Check your mobile plan for details.
Opting out
You can stop messages at any time by replying STOP, STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, or QUIT to any message you receive. You will get one confirmation message and then no further texts.
For help, reply HELP or INFO to any message, or use the contact details below. Full details are on the Terms of Service page.
Data retention
Records of your request, your consent, the message sent, and any opt-out are kept only as long as needed to operate the service and to meet legal, regulatory, and carrier recordkeeping requirements. Opt-out records are kept indefinitely — this is deliberate, so that a number that has opted out is never texted again.
Your choices and requests
You may ask what information is held about your number, ask for it to be deleted, or ask to be added to the opt-out list, by contacting us using the details below. Note that an opt-out record must be retained in order to honor your opt-out.
Children
This service is intended for general restaurant customers and is not directed to children under 13, and information is not knowingly collected from them.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated from time to time. The current version will always be posted at https://holina.io/privacy, with the "Last updated" date above revised accordingly.
