SMS Consent — Booking a Call
Last updated: July 29, 2026
This page describes how text-message consent works when you call Holina to book a call. Holina is a phone receptionist and appointment-booking service operated by EpochCore LLC. If you book an appointment over the phone and agree to be texted, this is what you are agreeing to.
Consent is obtained verbally, from the caller, during the live phone call — before any message is sent. A booking cannot send you a text unless a record of your consent already exists; this is enforced in our software at the moment the appointment is confirmed, not by policy alone.
How opt-in works
- You call Holina and ask to book a call.
- During that call, the assistant offers to text you the confirmation and reminders.
- The assistant confirms out loud that you want them sent to the number you are calling from, and
you agree verbally. The disclosure you hear is:
By providing your number you agree to receive texts from Holina. Message & data rates may apply; message frequency varies. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help.
- Only then is the appointment created and the confirmation sent.
What we send
Up to three messages per appointment you book — a confirmation, a reminder 24 hours before, and a reminder 1 hour before — plus a notice if the appointment is moved. Every message relates to the specific appointment you scheduled on that call. There is no other messaging.
Confirmation, sent immediately after you book:Texting is never required
Consent to receive texts is not a condition of using the phone service. If you would rather not be texted, say so on the call — you will still be booked and still receive the same assistance by phone. You can also ask for the confirmation by email instead.
What this means
- Messages go only to the phone number you are calling from.
- Messages are transactional — the confirmation and reminders for the appointment you booked.
- There is no marketing, no recurring subscription, and no keyword or web-form sign-up in this flow. Consent is verbal only.
- Phone numbers collected through this interaction are never sold or shared with third parties.
- Messaging stops automatically once the appointment has passed.
Opt out and get help
You can stop messages at any time. Reply STOP to opt out. Reply HELP for help. STOP takes effect immediately and is honored by the carrier as well as by us. Replying STOP does not cancel your appointment — call us if you need to change or cancel it.
